Emax Continues Social Responsibility with Student Awareness Program (SAP) Initiative
Press Release
Emax May 31, 2011
Besides being the largest electronics retailer in the Middle East, Emax is an active socially responsible brand. Its long-standing and exclusive initiative, known as the Student Awareness Program (SAP), has gained momentum and popularity amongst schools, academies and universities within the region. The focus of this program is to introduce the younger demographic to the world of technology, including the range of different products, state-of-the-art technology used and latest trends. The program offers students an understanding of the basics of retail enabling the younger generation to become knowledgeable and savvy technology users of the future.

SAP invites schools, colleges and universities to the flagship store at Oasis Centre where training is provided based on individual interests. Different categories to choose from include photography, IT, gaming, appliances, audio / video and mobile. Following the conception of SAP, a number of schools and institutes have taken the opportunity to benefit from the training offered. The institutions that have attended include the International Academic School who visited the Emax store at Oasis Centre on 12 October 2010 with 60 students, the Institute of Applied Technology joined SAP on 5 December 2010 with 25 students, and the Millennium School Dubai, is scheduled to run a field trip to the store for 245 students across a period of four days starting 5 June 2011.

The initiative carries no cost as it supports the campaign of giving back to the same society, which plays a vital role in Emax's success.
